Tape Delta Robot

Building a device similar to delta robots using tape measures and motors as the actuators.

Goal:
To satisfy a curiosity, practice electromechanical design, and learn how stepper motors are programmed in C++. Building the project with a limited budget and minimal access to tools, I aim to build mostly with what I already own---yarn, rubber bands, and other abnormal parts.
What I've done so far:

Programmed Python script to calculate movements and plot visuals

Arduino IDE to ELEGOO Uno R3 microcontroller and breadboard circuit

Laser cut wood support boards/robot frame

3D printed carriages for motor, tape measure, and spool
